First steps at Brighter Beginnings.

Orientation gives children and families time to feel safe, familiar and connected before the first full day of care.

What an Orientation Visit Looks Like

An orientation visit is an ordinary hour at the centre with you still in the room. Your child meets their educators, finds their room, and sees where their bag goes and where lunch happens.

There is no script to it. Some children join in within minutes and others watch from your lap for the whole visit; both are a good visit, and your centre team will say how many to book before the first full day.

Booking Your Visit

Visits are arranged with your centre team once your enrolment is under way, and most families book two or three across the fortnight before care begins. Your team will suggest times that suit your child’s routine and the room’s.

Staying connected

Part of Their Day, Even When You’re Not There

Through OWNA, families can stay connected with their child’s day at Brighter Beginnings. Educators share daily updates, important information and messages, helping you stay informed while your child is in our care.

You’ll also find centre information and seasonal menus in one convenient place, so you know what’s happening and what your child has been offered throughout the day. OWNA is also used to securely complete enrolment when your family is ready.
