Group time
Songs to gather children, settle them and open up the day's learning.

In every room, every day, led by the educators who know your child best.

Not a workshop
Through musical instruments, dance and creative movement, children find ways to express what they think and feel, and along the way they build the social, emotional and physical foundations that everything else rests on.
Music through the day
Songs to gather children, settle them, and open up the day's learning. Instruments sit within reach in our rooms, so children can pick them up whenever they choose. Our educators also use music through transitions: the moves between activities, meals and rest that can be the hardest part of a young child's day. A familiar song tells a child what's coming next without anyone raising their voice, and brings every child along.

About the program
Four questions about a program that runs through the day rather than beside it.

Four points in an ordinary day.

Find My Nearest CentreThe movements behind every game your child will ever join, taught rather than left to chance.
Taught deliberately, using Munch & Move.
Practised daily, indoors and outdoors.
One of the six fundamental movement skills our educators teach.
Built up over the year rather than assumed.
Part of every room's outdoor time, from the nursery up.
Climbing, stretching and steadying, every day.
Songs from home
Songs in the languages spoken at home, instruments from our families' cultures sitting alongside the tambourines, and the child beside them is hearing something new. Families are always welcome to share a song or an instrument from home.
Movement, every single day
Children dance, march, stretch, climb, balance and run every day, indoors and outside, in every room from the nursery up.

Taught, not left to chance
Running, jumping, throwing, catching, kicking and balancing have to be taught. Our educators teach them deliberately, using Munch & Move, the NSW Government's healthy eating and physical activity program, woven through transitions, music and active play as well as in planned experiences, the way NSW Health recommends. That's why you won't see a movement lesson on our program. You'll see movement all through it.

Staying connected
Through OWNA, families can stay connected with their child’s day at Brighter Beginnings. Educators share daily updates, important information and messages, helping you stay informed while your child is in our care.
You’ll also find centre information and seasonal menus in one convenient place, so you know what’s happening and what your child has been offered throughout the day. OWNA is also used to securely complete enrolment when your family is ready.
